Your Overnight Fundraising Resources

 Start your Fundraising Journey Today

Each walker who registers for the Overnight agrees to raise at least $1,000 (or $700 for students and past/present military members) and we are here to help every step of the way so you will not only meet, but far exceed your fundraising goals, and it's easier than you think. Here are just a few of the ways we'll help support you in your fundraising campaign:

#1 Your Walker Coach: We are your resident fundraising experts, here to help you whenever you need some advice or inspiration and we’re always just a call or email away, so if you ever get stuck, don’t hesitate to reach out.

#2 Your DonorDrive Fundraising Page: This page really is your one-stop shop for all things fundraising. You can import your email contacts (AOL, Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook and more) and send emails directly from this page, share this page with your donors so they can donate to you 24/7 and link this page to social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+. We have a ton of resources for you to benefit from, including:

Sample fundraising letters, Walker Cards (like business cards you can share with donors), Flyers, Fundraising at the Office tips, a Restaurant Fundraising list, ideas on how to expand your donor audience, tutorial videos on how to use your DonorDrive page, and an expansive list of tips and tricks.

One of the most powerful tools that you have to help in your fundraising efforts is to simply share your experience with those that you are asking for donations. That is why you can personalize your fundraising page with your own story and share why you walk. You can even download our Hometown Press Release to share with local media about why you are taking part in the Overnight.

#3 Fundraising Workshops: Not sure where to start? Need some ideas on a fundraising event or want to swap ideas with fellow walkers?  Why not call in for one of our phone fundraising workshops to give you a complete foundation for your fundraising efforts in under an hour. We also have a Webinar version of our fundraising workshop that you can watch online at your own convenience.

#4 The Overnight Community: Finally, if you haven’t already, please join us on our social media sites. Every day we meet on Facebook, Twitter and at the Overnight Walk blog to share our personal strategies and fundraising ideas, and this will provide you with extra encouragement that you can and will reach your fundraising goal.

Finally, consider this:
$1000 is $100 from 10 people, $50 from 20 people, $35 from 30 people, and $20 from 50 people.

Remember, while some donors will give less than that $20 mark, you may have other donors who will give much more, more than you might originally have expected.

We understand that fundraising may be a new concept for many of you, but we want you to know that you are not in this alone. Most of our walkers have never done anything like this before and our average first time participant raised over $1,300 in 2013.  You never know who has been touched by this cause, so don’t deny someone the opportunity to show their support by making a donation to your Overnight fundraising campaign.
